When you Start With Why everything else will fall into place

Start With Why was recommended to me twice in two days which is usually my cue to buy it and read it right away.  It brought clear some concepts I have been working on for over a year and a half.  If you own a business you probably started with a WHY that was really powerful for you.  Your WHY could have been to help a certain group of people that you thought were being underserved in the marketplace.  Maybe your WHY had everything to do with a passion you had to improve people’s lives through what you offered or were going to teach people.  Whatever your WHY, it was clear to me that we all, in the day to day grind of running a business, forget our WHY’s sometimes and it’s important to not only be clear about them, but to also remind ourselves of them consistently.  Your WHY is the one gift you’ve been given and will share with your customers and employees.  Your WHY is the reason you opened your business in the first place.  Your WHY will make every decision you have to make easier.  It is your filter for what won’t work for your business.

Remember, embrace, and let your WHY steer you towards the level of success you want to achieve.

David DeHaven of D3 Coaching is fantastic!

You can not build a new enterprise alone.  You just can’t!  You have to have people in your corner willing to help you and your business grow.  The coaching I have received from David has been a key part of building my skills and the Synergy Session program.  David has, on countless occassions, offered me counsel and advice that has propelled the project forward in ways I could not have seen without him.  In fact, in one of our sessions last year he asked me one simple question that was the inspiration for all that was to be created through numerous collaborations that have now been built.

David has also been a strong supporter of Synergy by giving great presentations to our groups last season, at Super Synergy last October, and to upcoming group sessions in 2010.  I love to hear his presentations and learn from each one.  I hope you’ll find time to take advantage of his gift certificate of a free executive coaching session that you’ll receive as part of your new participation package in 2010.  When you do, let me know if you come to rely on him the way I have.

Brian Duvall – coolest internet consultant!

I have to give a HUGE shout out to Brian Duvall of Duvall Media for his help to create this website.  He spent countless hours training and tutoring me at all times of the day and night.  When I thought I was going to loose my mind he would rush in and save my sanity.  He was not only knowledgeable and gave great suggestions on how to set things up, but was also patient and kind in the process (even when I wasn’t!).

I have enjoyed his presentations to the Internet Marketing Synergy Session group and look forward to attending all the future ones.  I am learning a great deal from him and that group.  I am now addicted to recommending and using Brian for assistance with internet marketing through video and the newest tools and techniquest in generated on-line leads for small business owners.  I promise, there’s no way you aren’t going to love this guy!

Website is up!

Finally… I’ve learned how to create a blog!  It’s taken months of instruction from Fredy (our on-site guru for this sort of thing) and our collaborative guru, Brian Duvall.  With their patience and tutoring, we now have the new Synergy Session website up and running.  The reps that have worked so hard to help pull all the groups together have been angels and patient as well.  No – it’s not perfect yet as Fredy has to come back from paternity leave and make it even better and more beautiful, but now Synergy Session participants have a home they can go to and find out: [Read more...]

Synergy Sessions: All a small business owner needs in 2010

Synergy Sessions are groups of small business owners and executives.  The sessions are two hours long and focus on education, collaboration and motivation in order to grow the revenue and profits for their companies.  The sessions contain 2 interactive exercises where business owners and executives learn and share with eachother components of the topic for that session. 

Participants of Synergy Sessions choose from groups in Roanoke like Internet Marketing, Social Media, Coaches, Residential/Commercial Services, Speaking/Presenting, Health & Wellness, Home Based Business, Fitness, New Innovators, and Success Synergy in the New River Valley.
