Leader: David DeHaven, D3Coaching
Leading the Coaches Group (Professional Coaches of the Blue Ridge), David DeHaven of D3Coaching, has extensive executive coaching, management, and sales experience that he shares with his group and many other Synergy Session groups as a speaker.
David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from George Mason University , an MBA from Auburn University and a Doctoral degree in Organization and Management/Leadership from Capella University. David’s PhD program and dissertation research focused on leadership for the 21st century knowledge age, organization, servant leadership, and the role of culture and change management in supporting IT initiatives. David is also a Buzan Licensed Instructor, certified NLP Practitioner and a member of the International Coach Federation.
In addition to training and coaching, David is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in information systems, IT infrastructure and consulting services. Over his career David has held several executive positions including Chief Technology Officer for Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector, Chief Information Officer for CMR Institute, Intelligence Operations Director for Northrop Grumman TASC, Partner with Greenwich Technology Partners, and Vice President with First Union National Bank. His work experiences have all allowed David to serve as a mentor and coach.

Internet Marketing
Leader: Brian Duvall, Duvall Media
Brian Duvall is a leader in the field of internet marketing in the Southwest Virginia region and now leads the Internet Marketing Synergy Session group.
He started his professional career as a video and television producer / director where he won awards for his commercial and industrial videos through the mid to late 1980’s
In the early 90’s he served as National Sales Director for a Canada-based Investment Exchange company where he helped entrepreneurs raise more than $32 million in venture capital.
Brian served as the Executive Director of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce for more than 5 years where he hosted the daily t.v. show called Rise & Shine and established the Franklin County Micro-business program that helped more than 200 entrepreneurs launch their businesses.
Brian also served as the Executive Director of the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce for more than 2 years where he created the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber Foundation that restored the old Carriage House in Longwood Park and he was named one of the region’s top 20 under 40 by the Blue Ridge Business Journal.
In 2006, he had the pleasure of serving as CEO of U.S. Operations for an international extreme sports company called Dirtsurfer where he set-up a national retail distribution network, online retail sales website and launched the online extreme sports magazine called Inline Boarder with a global readership… finally selling the business to a group of Canadian investors.
Brian currently owns Duvall Media, specializing in web video production and syndication, online sales and marketing, information product creation, social media campaign development and web consulting. He leads the Internet Marketing Synergy Sessions for Fast Training.org where he teaches area business owners how to finally make money with their websites.
The Internet Marketing Synergy Session meets on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Best Western Valley View in Roanoke, Virginia.
This is an intensive workshop with hands-on instruction on how to transform your website from a mere brochure into lead generation site that turns site visitors into paying customers.

Leader: Jim Patterson, Professional Speaker
Jim has over 24 years experience in the Insurance Industry. With his experience and training, Jim is able to help his Agency Owners and other Industry professionals define and achieve their business goals.
Jim is a graduate of University of Richmond with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education.
Jim began my career in 1985 with Allstate Insurance Company in Roanoke, Virginia, and has held various positions throughout his career. Jim worked in the Home Office in Chicago for 4 years and managed an Underwriting/Sales Department in New York for 4 years before returning to Roanoke as a Sales Manager.
Jim is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Public Speaking System, a National Sales Education Coach, a Diversity Trainer and Motivational Speaker. Jim co-owns a local Coffee house – Daily Grind, is a member of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Salem/Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce the NAIFA/RAIFA organization and the Orchard Hills Church. Jim has been a Youth Sports coach for the past 15 years, along with the Special Olympics.
Jim resides in Roanoke County with his wife Jeanie and their 7 children, Chelsea, Robby, Kara, Alex, Ryan, Taylor and Rachel.
